The 1st kit
The home kit is a very good one and it could have been an absolute stunner. There is alot of right things going on – it´s mainly white, with quite thick navy stripes at the arms and neck. Also its a very thick navy stripe going from the neck down both shoulders. The neck itself is just the way it should be – a plain navy V without buttons or collar. Class.
The badge looks good and is unchanged this season. Let´s hope it stays that way for a very long time. It´s aligned perfectly with the Nike logo. The only drawback with this shirt in our opinion is that the 888 logo takes way too much attention. It´s just å big black stain on a beautiful piece of clothing. Close to perfection this time but only close.
Happy to see the hooped socks are staying.
Clubs refresh or even design new badges from time to time – and so do we. The new badge on the right features a stolen vikingship (design) with the Branch flag taking the lads west. Just like the club we felt it was time to bring the PP into the design. We also added the club name to the badge. So what do you think?
We´ll do the kit review like we always do. Stay put!
The Middlesbrough game is on TV today. And when the lads are to be seen live later on we rep around town upfront. Hoping for a decent effort from the players and 3 points. A game review might appere on the blog later.
We like Anders Lindegaard quite a lot. He made a great figure when playing in Tippeligaen over here and seemed a nice guy with his head screwed on tight. He´s also quite a funny guy on Twitter. It´s nice to have a fellow Scadi at Deepdale. Not since our very own Joshua King became the 1000th player to put on the white we`ve had a viking on board.
But what does the Preston loyals think of the guy so far? We turn to twitter…
“Decent shotstopper but a bit like Dracula when it comes to crosses.”
“Would like to sign him mainly for his passion!”
“Needs to learn come off his line at corners etc but is clearly a quality keeper at this level.”
“Good to see his wife on the Invincibles today.”
“Almost as good as the new (The Branch) logo.”
“Outstanding stop to keep us in it today. Good distribution, reads the game well and great passion too!”
“That save yesterday from Henry when he was 1 on 1 was world class, top keeper and we need to buy him IMO.”
It´s been way to long since we last visited the holy sanctuary that is Deepdale Stadium – The home of the mighty Whites. Last time was what could have been a real shocker, the narrow loss to Manchester United in the cup. This time it´s what looks to be the last game of the season vs Leeds United. But for all we know it could be the game that secures Play Offs who knows? Anyways the boys are coming to town on the 6th of May. See you then cha!
The away kit is finally revealed and our opinion is that it looks good. Allways alot of buz when a new kit is presented. Some think it looks awefull and that the colors are wrong others appreciate the new design. We´re still yellow when visiting lads, and the blue has moved up from the shorts. We appreciate the blue hoop around the sleeve – it´s a detail that looks good. Definitely getting the away kit this season. And the v-neck. Loving the v-neck.
Blue hoops around the socks are the only thing we would like changed. It would look good with the rest. It´s easy starting the season being a negative prick and then enjoy telling everyone “told you so” if things go tits up. I´ll rateher wear this shirt drinking champagne at the promotion party next year;-) Up the Whites!
